About the artist
Olivia Fischer is a passionate creator who is driven to share her art with anyone who will take a look. Exploring artistic options is her priority; thus, her pieces are diverse in materials used, styles exhibited, size, and overall themes. Olivia's primary artistic focuses are drawing, mixed media, painting, video editing, and photography.

Located in North Dakota, Olivia is currently preparing to sell art on her own online shop. After completing her associate's degree in visual art at Bismarck State College, and a semester at the University of North Dakota, she decided to take a break from school to focus on herself and explore her favorite mediums outside of a school setting.

From monthly vlogs to expressionistic paintings, Olivia is always incorporating her own outlook, experiences and emotions into her art for the world to see. She is inspired by artists like Keith Haring and Henri Matisse, and strives to leave positive impacts just as they did.
ARTIST STATEMENT

Ode to Joy, 2020

Hello there! I'm Olivia and I am infatuated with creating and viewing art. I enjoy making pieces that reflect upon my childhood, personal experiences, thought processes and the media I enjoy. I particularly like creating pieces that are filled with high contrasts, bold lines and sharp colors; this includes realistic and abstract adaptations.
I grew up and am still living in North Dakota, and I strive to bring a bit of spunk to the table of amazing artists located here. I'm currently working on opening an etsy shop so that I can share my pieces with others! I am out of school to focus on my mental health, and making art on my own terms has been a tremendous help with that healing process. I live with my partner and cat in a little apartment and have been finding joy in the little things amidst this crazy world.
I am open to commissions and conversation! Check out the contact tab or the commissions tab to learn more.
